Mental Health Professionals: The Therapy Farm specializes in therapy from a holistic, relational and trauma informed perspective. While traditional “talk therapy” is provided, we also utilize creative interventions including animal assisted psychotherapy, art in therapy, nature based therapy and play.
PTs and SLPs: The Therapy Farm is looking to expand the occupational therapy department to include physical therapy and speech language pathology for pediatric clients. We have both indoor and outdoor spaces for both traditional outpatient interventions as well as animal and nature assisted interventions.
Volunteers: we have a limited number of volunteer opportunities available for applicants 16 years or older.
For Mental Health Professionals
THE IDEAL APPLICANT
- Is compassionate, kind, and patient
- Prioritizes creating a safe and caring space for each client
- Places high value on the client’s right to self determination
- Is willing to adapt therapy style to fit each client as ethically and clinically appropriate
- Is interested in learning and utilizing creative (animal/nature/art/music/play/movement) interventions (previous experience in these areas a plus but not required)
- Desires to support our community with high quality yet affordable services
REQUIREMENTS
- Be licensed in the state of TN or working towards TN licensure to independently provide therapy (LCSW, LMFT, LPC)
- Have training in trauma informed care
- Have training in one or more evidence based modalities
COMPENSATION

This is a W2 position. Hours are extremely flexible. Pay is per session provided and based on applicant’s experience level.

- Desires to support our community with high quality yet affordable services
REQUIREMENTS
- Be licensed in the state of TN or working towards TN licensure to independently provide therapy
- Have training in pediatric care
- Is comfortable and capable of handling outdoor environments and interacting with animals
COMPENSATION

This is a W2 position. Hours are dependent on client referrals and therapist's desired hours (part-time or full-time). Pay is per session provided and based on the therapist’s experience level.

Volunteers
We have volunteer positions available for applicants 16 and older:
- Assistant in pediatric therapy group sessions
- Animal trainer (we primarily use clicker training with our animals and can train volunteers to use method)
- Gardener (helping to start and maintain a rabbit and sensory garden)

- Is interested in learning how to interact therapeutically with our participants and our animals (previous experience in these areas a plus but not required)
- Is comfortable and capable of handling outdoor environments and interacting with animals
