Mental Health Professionals: The Therapy Farm specializes in therapy from a holistic, relational and trauma informed perspective. While traditional “talk therapy” is provided, we also utilize creative interventions including animal assisted psychotherapy, art in therapy, nature based therapy and play.

For Mental Health Professionals
We are currently seeking a clinically licensed therapist to work part time in person at our office in Toone.
THE IDEAL APPLICANT
- Is compassionate, kind, and patient
- Prioritizes creating a safe and caring space for each client
- Places high value on the client’s right to self determination
- Is willing to adapt therapy style to fit each client as ethically and clinically appropriate
- Is interested in learning and utilizing creative (animal/nature/art/music/play/movement) interventions (previous experience in these areas a plus but not required)
- Desires to support our community with high quality yet affordable services
REQUIREMENTS
- Be licensed in the state of TN at the clinical level (LCSW, LMFT, LPC-MHSP)
- Have training in trauma informed care
- Have training in one or more evidence based modalities
COMPENSATION

This is a W2 position. Hours are flexible but will start at Part Time. Pay is per session provided.

Interns
We have intern positions available for applicants currently enrolled in a therapy program (including social work, counseling, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, physical therapy or physical rehabilitation). These internships are flexible based on school requirements or student interest areas and level of education but may include:
- Assisting in therapy group sessions
- Animal training and animal intervention development
- Observing therapy sessions
THE IDEAL APPLICANT
- Is compassionate, kind, and patient
- Prioritizes creating a safe and caring space for each participant and our therapy animals
- Is interested in learning how to interact therapeutically with our participants and our animals (previous experience in these areas a plus but not required)
- Is comfortable and capable of handling outdoor environments and interacting with animals
